Collective Worship
At St Chads Church of England Primary School worship is an important and special part of the day, which aims to be more than a secular activity. Not only is it educational but it is stimulating the possibility of a person's inward reflection which can lead them to the development of an outward and open lifestyle, one in which they live generously with others. The main aim of collective worship at St Chads School is for it to be meaningful and relevant to all pupils and staff, for those with a faith background and those with none.
The six values that underpin our collective worship are Respect, Resilience, Responsibility, Resourcefulness, Excellence and Compassion.
During the week, collective worship takes place in the school hall and in classrooms.
Our School Prayer
God be in my head and in my understanding,
God be in my eyes and in my looking,
God be in my mouth and in my speaking,
God be in my heart and in my thinking,
God be at my end and at my departing,
Amen
